Hmm...where to start... Well, I grew up in New England (lived in NH, RI, and MA) and graduated from Hollis Brookline High School in '93. Went to college at Smith in Northampton, MA. For my junior year, I went to the Sorbonne in Paris to study art history. After college, I moved to New York City, where I lived for 7 years in a small (very very small if you ask other people) studio apartment in the East Village, almost across the street from the Hell's Angels outpost. While there, I worked at Calvin Klein. Yes, for just about the full seven years. That's an eternity (pardon the pun) in the fashion industry!
In June 2004, I moved down to the Tampa Bay, Florida area to get a bit of sun. It's been nice down here, except for the occasional hurricane scare. I'm also now living with my boyfriend, Mike Arhangelsky. We get along quite well. It's a new experience for me to be sharing a space with someone--especially after being an only child and then living alone for 7 years! But it's great and I'm definitely not complaining!! We now have 2 cats (Willa and Sam) and 2 aquariums (one freshwater, one cichlid).

*contemporary and modern art (but not the new MoMA building, only the art inside!)
*karaoke, especially duets
*going in Connie's hot tub, or any hot tub for that matter
*painting by number
*finding good deals, although it seems to happen to often because I have too much stuff in my apartment!!
*listening to many different types of music on XM, although usually Lucy or Ethel
*The Golden Girls
*reading modern fiction, biographies, and contemporary British fiction (although I haven't found much of it lately...)
*watching the various fish in our aquariums--yes, they do have personalities!
*crafty things, like scrapbooking and cross-stitching
*having my Mom (Betty) take us out fishing and to "deserted" islands in her boat
*having control of the remote
*very dirty martinis
*my Mikie!
*watching TV. Mainly via the DVR, as a way of bypassing commercials and fast forwarding through anything boring.
*puzzles: crossword, sudoku, and jigsaw
DISLIKES:
*improper grammar
*moving (I have a very large amount of books)
*people talking on the cell phone at a restaurant
*dusting
*people who haggle too much at yard sales
*drivers who don't use their signals (and Florida drivers in general)
*people who put their wedding pictures as their main photo on friendster/myspace/facebook, as well as people who have a song and/or video load automatically on their profile
