We have a new neighbor: an American Bald Eagle! On Sunday morn, Mike and I took a hike out at Honeymoon Island State Park, only to find a portion of the trail cordoned off. The signs explained that a pair of Bald Eagles had built a nest and would be here for the next few months. And lo and behold, there was one of the eagles, perched next to the nest, standing watch. It was exciting to me because I've only ever seen Bald Eagles at the zoo. One of the photos is above, taken with Mike's Polaroid camera; I'll have to go back with my new camera with the 10x optical zoom to experiment!
